Advanced Character Animation
Matýšek, Michal ; Polok, Lukáš (referee) ; Kajan, Rudolf (advisor)
This thesis describes modern real-time character animation techniques and their implementation in C++ language using DirectX and PhysX libraries. The first part of the text deals with a presentation of selected animation principles and is focused mailny on key-frame animation, skeletal animation, morphing and ragdoll simulation. Then follows a description of used DirectX and PhysX libraries and description of motion capturing, using iPi Desktop Motion Capture software. The second part of this thesis is focused on particular ways of implementation of the described animation techniques.
Physical Simulation in 3D Scene Using PhysX
Jašek, Tibor ; Navrátil, Jan (referee) ; Pečiva, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on physic simulation utilized by physics engine PhysX. Program is made in XNA Framework. Application consists of network game for two players and presentation of few physical simulations.
Golf Ball Flight Simulation and Visualization
Opletal, Petr ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the simulation and vizualization of a golf ball flight. The final application is powered by the Unity engine and the PhysX physics library. The application includes the implementation of basic golf ball aerodynamics and advanced vizualization including simple gaming logic. The final solution can be used as a part of a cheap golf simulator. The text contains a theoretical introduction, existing solutions, basics of golf ball aerodynamics, an application design, the creation of courses and implementations. The conclusion of the diploma thesis describes experiments with the final solution and summarizes the achieved results.

Space Naval Combat - Space Battle Simulator
Krijt, Filip ; Klímek, Jakub (advisor) ; Malý, Jakub (referee)
The goal of this project is to try and implement a space action game Space Naval Combat utilizing the .NET framework and at the same time explore the potential of using the individual technologies of this platform for game development. In particular, the project involves using the following technologies: Windows Communications Foundation, Windows Presentation Foundation and LINQ to SQL combined with ASP.NET. The project also uses an open source library Lidgren Network, which is based on the UDP protocol, for network communication between the client and server components of the game. A crucial part of the project is also the utilization of the well-known nVidia PhysX physical simulation library, or rather its wrapper - Stilldesign PhysX.NET.
Game consoles and technologies
Berky, Pavel ; Vaněk, Jiří (advisor) ; Nouza, Jaroslav (referee)
The bachelor's thesis topic is game consoles and technologies. The aim of the work is characteristic of game consoles, and information technologies related to gaming, and outlining the differences between playing on consoles and computers. In the first part is shown the development of the individual consoles and technologies and their general classification. Furthermore is introduced the gaming industry along with current trends and insights into possible future development. Followed by mutual comparison of performance parameters and other criteria for individual types of gaming devices. The last part is the final evaluation of the results of the comparison.
